New year has started with pop and all the lol.... can you expect whoz the no. 1 contender for ICC TEST RANKINGS in 09. aussies are bouncing back and proteas on a row. the most important thing is that India is already in the race. they are few miles away from no.1 standz.... a huge competition amidst of fun and excitement........ who will win the race??? whom do you expect to stand 1st in 2009........

yes definitely with two contenders for the number one position in test rankings,india nad south africa and australia trying hard to defend their nuber one position it will be an exciting year in test cricket.i guess australians will be able to retain their top rank.

2009 as you said has started with a pop and now ausies have started smelling the defeat as South Africa and India have well pulled up their sockes to lead the race but there is more of fantasy rather raw cricket to happen in 2009 IPL ,ICL and all the twenty twenty flavours will change the colors of the team , Anything can happen anytime as they will be drove to money rather cricketing , Anyway my passion is for INDIA and my desire is for South Africa

Indians will do well but the no:1 team at the end of 2009 will be South Africa.
My feeling is that after that India will take over & rule world cricket for next 6-8 years.
Our young players like Ishanth ,rohit etc need some more time to mature & then it will be difficult for other teams to catch up with India.
One good thing going for SA is better allrounders than Indian team which gives them the edge for the time being.
