the obvious answer should be MURLI.... mendis showed his talent but he has to prove many things.he is a new comer and he has to prove that he can survive in worst and pressurized condition as MURLI and KUMBLE survived.Murli is very experienced bowler and at present no one is near to murli.

I cant see anyone comparing Mendis with Murali. Murali has been an well extablish bowler. Mendis is fairly new he still to tour the rest of the world and make a name for himself. Murali has been there done it so my conclusion is that Murali is the better bowler for now. That's just my views thanks happy mylotting.

Mendis who ?????? you cannot be serious, there is no comparison at all between the leading wicket taker in the world & a greenhorn. It is easy for spinners to find success when they are knew. Slowly people start picking their variations fron the hand & then they find difficult for wickets to come by. Remember what happened to Hirwani & lakshman shivaramakrishnan. Mendis may be a talent for the future but its too early to compare him with the spin wizard Murali.

muralitharan is better one than mendis cuz he got so many variation in bowling. he can destroy any of the strong batting department of the world. he got the record number of wickets both in one dayers and test arena.

i would go with mendis because even now people are finding it hard to understand his bowling .to be honest,it is very diffcult.murali can spin the ball anywhere though mendis spin is limited.mendis has more variety but murali's dhoosra is still not read well by batsmen so i am confused

Muealitharan has nothing left to prove.Ajantha Mendis has not played enough cricket to be compared with Muralitharan and he has just tormented the Indians and now Bangladeshis. He is yet to prove his capability against the better teams and prove his consistency. No doubt he is simply amazing the way he made the strong indian batsmen look like kids.I hope he has a long career and takes cricket to the next level.
