I have been wondering with all the online threats that attack computers and the hundreds of new ones each day, why would someone with the talent it takes to write the programs to do this waste time causing trouble when they could just GET A JOB? and contribute some good to society instead of using that talent for destructive purposes? Answer me please How do you view this?

Right now you see a lot of types of viruses but in reality it all came down to a few. a lot of viruses today are just a remake of other virus 15 years ago. for real. they just change the code and put their name on it to be able to claim that virus. these are not programmers, they are just people who knew a little bit and cannot excel anymore. that's why they cannot get a job

In some cases it seems to be like in the films where an individual is rejected for a job or sacked and subsequently they use their skills for revenge.
Others simply see it as a joke/game to prove to large companies how unstable their systems and security are.
I think sadly its just the case that for whatever reason some people want to do good and others bad. There are those who do bad within most technologies and professions, in these cases it is those with coding skills.
I once saw an interview with a virus author who said that whilst he could make $200/hour working for a top firm, he's various viruses and scams netted him an amount not dissimilar and he could do that from home and it gave him more satisfaction.
Whilst i don't agree with any of the ethics of such people i can acknowledge the reasoning. In contrast where they may find satisfaction from their creations, i'm more than happy breaking viruses and coding antiviral solutions.
