Why does gas station coffee smell so good?

I'm serious! When I go into a gas station that sells coffee, the coffee always smells so good! I use a reusable filter at home, fresh water, good coffee and I make sure I use enough coffee too. So why is it that gas station coffee always smells so much better? Even if my husband runs into the gas station to pay for gas, when he comes out, he has the coffee smell on him and it smells sooo good!
Another good question is this - some gas stations sell cappucinos, why are they so tasty? I am addicted to the french vanilla ones. Doesn't matter which gas station, either. They are so incredibly good. If I ask for one at Starbucks, it's no where near as good as the gas station one. Isn't that weird? What make the gas station ones so incredibly tasty?
I'm really addicted to them too - I am craving one right now!

It smells good cause you were smelling the gas, so when you change the smell so quick, you gain more ..how to say it.... Well heres an example: If you are in hot water and you change to normal water, you will be freezing, but if you just get in normal water before getting in hot water, you will feel it good. I dont know if you are following me hahaha.
Well to put it simple
You have bad smell, normal smell is better
you have good smell, normal smell is worse
You have good smeel, Bad smell is worst!!

This makes sense but I'm not pumping or smelling gas, so it's not the reason why for me. But it does make sense if one were pumping gas why the coffee would smell so good.

Hi rowan, it is strange hoe one certain place always smells and tastes nicer than any other when it comes to either drink or food...I love coffee and there is only one place in my village that sells it, and I don't really like it anywhere else either...maybe it is psychological..who knows! LOL hugs littleowl
