I think cooking can make me feel relax. I think it's a kind of housework, isn't it?:) I enjoy cooking and it's one of my interests. I especially feel happy to see my family and friends like it and praise how delicious it is:) I love China

Hi Coolmailraj, I have to say none. I hate doing housework, so these would stress me rather than relax me!

Not many that's for sure, er I would have to say the washing because if you have a washing machine, all you need to do is to gather up the clothes, make sure they are in their correct piles, colours and the whites, take them to the washing machine pile them in, pour in the detergents etc and turn the machine on and voila! Done and the machine does it all for you, bliss and that is relaxing as you hear the machine working away as you sit down with a cuppa, biscuit and a good book to read!

I like washing dishes the most, I get to daydream as i do the dishes, do some thinking, as long as I take extra care that I don't drop anything. hehe I like getting my hands wet and soapy. Sort of like my hands getting a bubble bath hehe

The household chore that relaxes me much is washing the dishes. Why? It is because I love to play water. The only household chores that I can do well is cleaning the house as well as the surroundings and washing the dishes. These are the only ways of helping my parents. But I am not that lazy. Hmmmmm!

no they are not chores they are forms of entertainment and relaxation, which is what I like the best as well. I don't care for housework, cleaning the toilet is not my idea of fun.

I think that I can get some relaxation out of cooking a nice meal or the idea of preparing one. I don't mind cleaning my house either. It reduces a little stress when I know that the house is tidy. I also like to use glass cleaner to wipe down some things in my house. It sounds silly but it can be relaxing sometimes.

Strangely enough, all household chores relax me! When I get really mad, I clean my house. The more I clean, the better I feel.

I do not know, maybe the same as you because all the other chores seem to tire me out then relax me but hey the work has got to get done either way.

When I am frustrated any house hold chore will calm me down. heck, I even get them done ten times faster! I wouldn't say any of them are relaxing they are just something to keep my mind off of things. Some times me being upset is the only thing that will motivate me to do the chores!

The Ironing beleave it or not,I stand the ironing board in front of the tv during my favourite programmes during the day and start ironing, being engrossed in the programmes the ironing pile goes down without even noticing before I realise the clothes horse is full and it is time for a cuppa and chilled out or what it is marvellous.Hoovering is relaxing a just pushing it around the house I go into a world of my own and then I wake up and it looks so nice and all the carpets are fluffy again and clean lovely.Apart from that the rest takes a lot of effort and I am aware of how much polish you use and water when scrubbing the kitchen floor, you have to keep the wits about you other wise you end up with one hell of a mess. Most of the other jobs I can relax when they are finished like the windows shining and the funiture shining and pictures.mirrors ect,It is when they all pile in the door to make me more work.Mind you without them I would be bored silly.

Chores aren't relaxing. That's why they're called chores. Chore -noun 1. a small or odd job; routine task 2. a hard or unpleasant task

What relaxes me is to remove the clutter in the room - then sit down and enjoy it! There are not too many household chores that I find "relaxing".

Folding clothes. I love to fold clothes. I always take my sweet time when folding them nicely just like the one display at the supermarket shelf. When put the folded clothes into the closet, I will always take a second to admire them. Am I crazy? Haha!

I'm with you girl. I think channel surfing should be listed as the top household chore followed by email sorting.

For me, i would say it would be doing the dishes. When doing the dishes, all the effort and time needed to clean that pile gives me the time to calm down and think through stuffs. This is because my family will create a humongous pile of dirty dishes after each meal and each of us in the family has to take turns to clean it as we do not have a dish washer.. I remembered the times when i used to be in a rage or a massive temper, and after a taking to this major household task, i immediately feel calmer and capable of thinking a little straightly.
