Does anybody hate tv medical shows because they've had bad experiences in hospitals with their loved ones dying, like me?

First of all, sorry for your loss... I like medical shows because they bring me a bit of reality that I don't see everyday. They are also educational (not all of course) because some of them explain conditions and illnesses so you can recognize some diseases.

Thanks for your reply, Fadolf. Funny thing is, I like Hugh Laurie, especially in Blackadder. But I know what you mean.

I'm sorry for your suffering. But I actually like tv medical shows - I also have the experience of a loved one dying in the hospital (my grandma spend a lot of her dying days in the hospital but she eventually asked us to take her home and that's where she took her last breath). I don't think our experiences with the hospital ever affected our perception with medical tv shows - I guess we know where to draw the line :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Sorry I'm late getting back to you, oyenkai. I guess I just don't like medical shows. I never even really liked Dr. Kildare, lol.

I happen to love medical shows. They interest me greatly. I plan on becoming an anesthesiologist in the future.
Some words of advice (please don't take offense to this):
If you don't like medical shows, don't watch them. Change the channel to something you'll enjoy and will take your mind off of those bad experiences.
Have a good day! :)
