Your language

im from the philippines and our native language there is tagalog. we could also speak english because its in our curriculum. most filipinos speak english fluently. Im also very interested in nihongo thats why im now studying it

Hi cafn8me - btw, love your username... very cute! :) English is my first language. My husband's first language is arabic and second language is english. He is fluent in english and really has no difficulties. Occasionally he might ask me about what something in slang means but other than that he needs no help whatsoever. He was taught english beginning in 5th grade in Jordan, that is where he is from & all of his studies in college at dental school were strictly in english as well as their textbooks. I took two years of french in high school but didn't do very well and barely know any currently, just some basics. I am horrible at learning new languages & picking up accents, unlike my sister who earned college credit in french while still in high school. I wish I had a knack for languages.

Bengali is my prime language but since I was educated in an english medium school I am quite at ease with this international language. While in school, I was extremely fluent in english conversation too, but since then I am a bit out of habit since everybody aroud me is bengali and we all talk in our mother tongue.

Hindi is my mother tongue but i personally i like english. Though at home we talk in hindi only but i like english. I studied in a english medium school. I know other languages too.

i am from india and my mother tongue is telugu and so we speak in it in house and i know english and i use it when i am in foreign countries and english is my second language . i also speak hindi with my north indian friends in kuwait now.
