...then realized upon reading others' response, you felt that they're more deserving than yours?

No, I don’t feel guilty, I rather feel elated and smug. If there are some other quality responses too, then yes I do feel that maybe the BR could have been shared if there was such an option but then there’s no such option and of course the person who has started the discussion has the right for the final judgement.

No, I don't feel guilty. I can't criticize what's in the mind and heart of the person who choses a response as the 'best' one. The reverse would also come into play. If you feel that you had the best response, do you resent not receiving that recognition? While I am pleased and appreciative of receiving these recognitions, I don't give a lot of thought when I don't. A few times when I've awarded the 'best response' for discussions I've started, after making the award a better response gets posted. It happens.

Nope, i don't resent because i'm not really aiming to get it. It's just an added bonus.

i am not aware of the stars beside our names but i think that's the proof that you get to be awarded for teh best response? please correct me if i am wrong for i have been away in mylot. well, i feel proud of myself whenever i get to be the chosen best response in a discussion. just like the others shared from above, each of us has a unique way of listening and responding and i know each of us here gets to follow their hearts on which responds helps them or touches them the most. though sometimes, in a discussion, there are a lot of good responses that the tendency is, i don't choose a best response so that all of them would be equal. lol

Same goes here lol! Sometimes i leave my discussion without a best response because sometimes it's pretty hard to choose. I'm not sure, i may be wrong too, but the stars has something to do with the positive "+" marks we got from the discussions we made/responded.

Hello modstar1590! I won't feel guilty if I were chosen to be a best response. Every person has it's own view when giving a best response and probably someone saw something unique on my response that's why he/she chose me as a best responder.

Hmmm....Gabby C and Ruffa G should be reading this. I haven't been marked for having best response except once. But I don't feel guilty because really, probably, at that time, the person really found it best. Then realized later when more responses were posted that yours wasn't really the best but there's nothing the person can do because I think you can makr only once, right? Well, it's totally up to the person. Don't bother yourself, it's false humiltiy bro!

Hello modstar, I hope whoever marked my response as the BR, really read all the responses and decided that mine is the best in certain way. I don't feel guilty as I never read back all the responses where that person rated mine as the best response. So, I really don't know about other responses. When I respond to a discussion, I will read once all the responses before mine.

sometimes i feel shy or kinda.... coz your been awarded with the owner of the discussion and sometime competition are very tough you can only do is wait for the owner to award whom is the most best responder.

Why should I feel guilty to my self when I was awarded as a best response?? And besides I never told the person who made the discussion to make me as a best response in his/her discussion.. He/she decide it among her/his self, so I don't see anything that I should feel guilty about it.. Actually, when every time I received a best response award I feel happy and the more it inspire me to create and make good response to their discussions.. Honestly, i don't read others response before or after I make a comment so that when every time I made a discussion its all coming out from my own thoughts without copying it from others or giving me some ideas about the discussions.. Well, I admit that sometimes I usually read other comments to the discussion but after I made my own comment or I'm just feel to read their comments but I don't create mind.. I don't really feel guilty when I was awarded the best response.. Actually, I feel happy and proud to myself when I was awarded as a best response..

Not really. Because sometimes the best response is given to a person that replied fast with the answer that discussion starter wanted exactly. So if someone offered a better response later, well, it's always possible to alter awards.

Well yes but it depends on what it was and when they gave the best response to said person. As some people give then right away and some do not. I went and did mine and some was hard and had to pick one. So maybe your response wasn't as good as the other person you think. But the person giving it likes yours better for what ever reason. You have a wonderful day. Your friend onlydia

no, because I was not the one to give the best response to myself anyway...what I just did was speak out how i feel on the discussion.

not at all!!cuse i know that if that certain person gave me a best response then she or he really think i have the best one on the discussion he made, and i would say that in every response i made in someone's posts i see to it tht i do good in it and not just write nonsense things, sometimes i may say that i see that some's response is better than mine but i have the best respinse, maybe the poster thinks mine is more helpful...happy lotting!!!and lots of best response for us!!

Well I won't be guilty in having best response, everyone has his way of saying his opinions, and everyone says as he thinks and as his culture.
