Have you ever got such a nasty dream...

But you wake up with a nice big grin on your face?A dream that would normally be deemed as a nightmare by most people.
A dream where the most hideous methods are used to torture a person.
From cutting the fella up to boiling him in oil.
And all sort of painful ways you can ever imagine being done to a person.
But to you, torturing your tormentor in the most painful way is actually a delight to you? And you wake up with your pulse racing. You forehead full of sweat. But strangely feeling very elated and delighted that your tormentor became tormented!
Ever woke up to such a paradox?

wow that is really something isn't it? i have never had a dream like this before. guess it really takes an all-consuming hatred for a person to have this kind of dream. no one has had the 'honour' of being so hated by me. lol
hatred is a tiring emotion and i'm lucky no one has even done anything to me that makes me hate the person. most dreams i have are about failing to meet deadlines. guess that reflects the biggest worry in my life right now. cheers

Hatred eh?
I guess at that time, it was like that.
We all hated him to the pits.
He was really an azz hole that deserved some kind of treatment for all the nasty things he did to us.
If not for the injury to one of my platoon mates, I guess the nasty treatment will never stop!

Well, no, actually, I haven't. You're scaring me, ahgong! LOL
Does this dream have anything to do with your other post about really loathing someone you can't get away from?
I've had dreams of karma paying a visit to some of those who have hurt me in the past, people who deserve a little misery, but nothing like boiling them in oil or cutting them up!

ha ha ha ha ha... no no no... these are referring to two totally different things.
This particular discussion was started because I recalled the dream when I was sitting down to try and write something for mylot.
I had this awful dream about 10 years ago. And then had it again about 4 years back. Two totally different people.
Back then, as a teen, I was really hot tempered.
I have simmered down much since I met my wife. And I am really thankful for that. She is like my anchor to reality when things get too hectic.
The person in my dream was really giving us hell back then. All my brothers in the platoon hated him the core. In fact, there were a few of them. But this one fella stood out cos he did the worst to us.
So one day, after being wronged yet again and put thru hell, I was so exhausted, I fell asleep on the floor. And this awful dream where I did the worst sadistic torture you could ever imagine to this azz-hole!
And it was so vivid. Details that are not convenient to post here.
But it was really vivid. Blood, gore, pain, and his yells of pain were like music to my ears.
I guess all the pent up frustrations towards this jerk came all out in the dream. And amidst all that awful things I did in my dream to him, I actually woke up with a smile on my face. And I actually felt better too!
I really do not know how to tell you this. It was a scary dream. In fact, nightmarish. But when I recall the dream, and remembering that look of pain and anguish on his bloody face, it brought on a kind of peace in my mind.
That was like a closure to some nasty chapter in my mind.
Though I still hate him to the core. But being able to imagine him in pain, makes that hate much less painful to bear.

ha ha ha ha ha... you did research on dreams and wrote a book?
Why not get it published?
Or at least come out with an e-book or something.
I can recommend you a site to host the e-book. An when people download it, you get paid for it.
Then you can become the dream guru here. Help people to decipher what their dreams mean.

Yeah, dreams are like our 'outlet' where we can vent frustrations and anger without actually hurting anyone.
I wrote a book about dreams (not published) and learned a lot about them while researching for the book. I'm a firm believer in writing down our dreams while they're still fresh in our minds if they are prophetic in some way. Dreams have a way of fading away if we don't think about them right after awakening, or at least mine do, so I write down the ones that really mean something to me. That way, I never forget them.
Our subconscious mind really is an amazing thing!
Oh, I read your comment to the response about dreaming you were driving and smacking your wife. I laughed a good, hearty laugh at that because I had to sleep in the same bed with my sister once a long time ago while visiting a great aunt in another State for a week. She was ALWAYS slapping me in her sleep! Ah, memories!!!

That's weird to have such a dream only to find yourself smiling over it, unless it's about someone u really hated.. lol =D Am i right?? hehe ^_^ I dun hate anybody to such an extend yet but even if i do, i will be sure to torture them in real life and not in dreams.. haha ^_^ Dreams are supposed to be beautiful and sweet, thus i dun wanna spoil the image of it.. haha

Sometimes trying to torture anyone is real life is impossible.
Not to mention illegal in the eyes fo the law.
But to be able to let the imagination run wild at coming up with ingenious ways to really bring pain to your tormentor in the dream world, sometimes can be very theraputic in a weird sort of way.
You never had such dreams before?
Where you would be witnessing or performing something totally ghoulish and waking up feeling all good inside! *evil grins*

Well, I too have a few sadistic way I would love to be able to perform on my tormentor as a form of vengence.
But being a law abiding citizen in real life, the dream scape is where I go to perform my most sadistical deed* *rubbing hands with glee*
Buah ha ha ha ha ha ha... no one escapes my punishment in my world!
For I am the judge, the jury and the excusioner there!
Buah hah haha hahahaha hah ha... *fading evil laughter!*

Maybe you are trying to run away from some monster that is making life difficult for you in real life?
Or you are having some fear that you are not conciously aware of?
What I usually do in such situations where the dream keep recurring, is to say a prayer. And then tell my mind's monster that you and him are seperate entities before I sleep. And that seperate entities should not be pestering each other. So leave and give me peace!
It usually works and the monster goes away, I get my peaceful sleep.

I have had a few nightmares but, only one where I was being slightly tortured and it seemed as if I was almost enjoying it. Other than that I have not had any pain but pleasure dreams. I think that means that you are into domination or S&M.

Some dreams are just more vivid than others.
And it being originated from the mind, it is not surprising if the body reacts to it like it is real. Cos the concious mind is not active. Only the subconcious is controling your mind and thoughts.
It is good that you do not have such vivid dreams. It means that you are at peace with yourself.
People who have vivid dreams are usually the ones with a lot of their mind and they do not know how to express them well. So, like a computer who does cleaning up, the brain does the same when one is sleeping.
Or so, that is what I heard.

Yeah, I got a few of those dreams as well. I would be running and running for no apparent reason at all. And I wake up all sweaty like I actually did the running!
Then I would be so pumped up with the adrenaline, I cannot sleep after.
Some times I would be driving, and my hands and legs actually responded like what I did in the dream. Cos I ever slapped my wife in one of those dreams where I am sticking my hand out of the car window to signal my intentions cos all the darn electronics in the car is now working. So in my dream, I was sticking my hand out and signalling. In reality, I am actually slapping my wife!
Boy was she mad at me for waking her up!

I have dreams like that before too.
Where I was sleeping on my own arm. And sort of cut off the blood circulation to it making it all numb.
Then in my dream, I dream that I had lost the use of my arms and was crying so loud, I actually wail out in real life!
Woke up all shocked, scared and weeping like a baby!
Then comes the pins and needles in the arm which will then keep me awake for a good half hour before it passes!
