Have you ever wanted to be a different nationality or race?

I was flipping through channels when I came upon an episode of John and Kate Plus 8. They had been asked a question about Kate being the only white person in the home, her husband and children were all obviously Asian. Kate had said that she was glad her children looked Asian, she was hoping they would. She said she loves the Asian look, and wishes she herself were Asian. Is there are particular race or nationality that you find more attractive than any other? Do you wish you could be a different race or nationality? Personally, I'm happy as I am, but there was a time I would have wished to have been a bit darker. I'm a pale white woman, even with a tan I look white. I would have wished to have been a bit darker, like Jennifer Lopez or Salma Hayek, have that Latino look. That's what I always found attractive.

Hey kats! I kind of agree with you! I would also have liked to have been a bit darker and maybe have that Latino look! I think Latino women are quite attractive! I also am a very pale white woman! I can tan, but it does take an awful long time! Besides, the sun is not our friend! I can't say that I have ever wanted to be a different race or nationality. I do wish I had the long, straight dark thick hair of some of the other nationalities though. I have dark, thin curly hair that I have always hated with a passion!

I have dark, thick, straight hair and I hate it! When I was a bit younger, before all the kids, I used to perm my hair all the time. That made it manageable and livable. I don't think it looks good straight. Although I like the latino skin color, I'd prefer different hair, softer, lighter, and hair that I can actually do something with.

I don't have anything against different races or nationalities but I personally like the way that I am right now. It would be cool to be able to change it up every now and then but I like what I look like and I think that my look that I have right now definitely does a good job of summing up who I am.

I never have had that thought, Coz since the reforming and opening up for 30 years in China, our ecnomic development take-off in business and building on the brilliant achievements made...I'm pround of being born in China and to be chinese citizen and will never change nationality or race. There are a lot of people change their nationality abd race but I am not opposed to,coz thatis their freedom

Personally speaking iam really happy with what iam! and wanting to be darker or paler is a kind of self-racism that you people do!we should be happy with what we are rather than wanting to be someone else. Its better to gain the qualities of a person rather his looks.

I don't think I've ever really wished to be another race. I'm pale white too though so I always wished I could have skin that held a tan better or was naturally tan. I know people like that who are Caucasian like me. Other than that I'm fine with what I am.

I have wanted to be a little darker before. I am pale with freckles and I burn very easily. I have never wanted to be a different race or nationality though.

No I do not think that I have ever wished to be different natioinality or race. I am proud to be an Indian. I think that every person should be proud of one's own country. As a matter of fact, your nationality does not make up your personality. And it is not in your hand to become a particular nationality. I do have high respect for other nationalities and other races too.

I've never even thought of being different that I am. Now you mention it though, being a little darker skinned wouldn't hurt. I'm a bit of a pale Jane too, and a bit of colour looks healthier, I think.

I am Canadian and proud of being able to call myself Canadian. However, I must admit that there times when I wish I was either Irish or French, as my paternal grandfather was born in the region of Cork, in Ireland, and my mom's ancestry is primarily French. I must admit that I am very proud of my ancestry. At times, I wish I could be either one of them.
