I feel that friendship should be two-way. If I know someone like this person you mentioned, he or she would not be a friend, most likely only an acquaintance. I don't need to gain anything from a friendship; but friends share joys and burdens together, not only one person doing everything for the other.

yes friendship is supposed to be give and take but you wont believe the way people take advantage of others these days all in the name of friendship i think its time we redefine what friendship is really all about

I used to try to hold on as long as I possibly could because I always wanted a good friendship. It never worked out though and we became very distant. I do not have friends in my real life because of it. I have tried several times since then and none of them ever worked out. It was all the same.

yes good friendship is good but believe me if it becomes one sided it becomes like a virus that will come up to frustrate you and the day you wake up to fight it it may have become hydr-headed

Hi BYOLA,
I will not be spending time with that type of person, I will cut off the relationship right away! ANy relationship is a two way process.
I am not fair to myself it I will still hang out with that person.
