Why is it that christians feel the need to push scripture?

You know it seems to me that on some of the questions posted here a lot of the christians that are on post scripture. Why is it that is felt to be necesary?

Christians consider the Bible to be their guide book to life, I guess they are just explaining why they do what they do!
