Samuel J. Wurzelbacher aka Joe the Plumber is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for pjtv.com. He is supposed to spend ten days there to cover the fighting and the reactions of Israels' Average Joes to the war...
Okay, I didn't like how the guy was treated during the presidential campaign and how so much dirt was dug up on him (not even legally!). All because he asked an inconvenient question and caught Obama off guard with the wrong answer. Anyhow, this is quite a stretch from the plumbing business. I can't even picture him as a reporter. Even worse, sending somebody inexperienced into a war zone...??? He must have a death wish and the people who hired him... I don't think I would even watch it, if it would be for CNN or another major news outlet on regular TV.
I think the whole idea is crazy and he is well past his 15 minutes of fame. What do you think?

Thank you for starting this because I'd considered it when I saw this on the news but I knew I'd get the "Leave poor Joe alone" cry from my conservative friends who think I'm on the attack against anyone related to the McCain campaign two months after the election. I thought his 15 minutes should have run out two months ago but this is as crazy as it could ever get! Judging by his lame response to a question or comment or whatever the heck it was from an attendee at a rally Joe attended right before the election - you may remember, "I think I'm gonna go ahead and agree with you," - he is about as knowledgeable and articulate about matters in the Mideast as my cats are. He must have really inhaled or ingested too much of something in his plumbing work because he sure is full of it!

This country was built on ordinary people doing extraordinary things. I think its great that he is doing this, it just goes to show that he's not just a plumber by trade but an American who wants other people to know that we all have a common thread. Snobbama acted like he was above everybody, Joe is getting his hands dirty the old fashion way, through work. B.O. wasn't caught off guard and he didn't give the wrong answer, that's how he thinks. Go Joe!

Lol, you know I meant Obama was caught off guard and accidentally provided the truth;) As to Joe, I don't think that war correspondent is his calling just judging by his other media appearances but hey I could be wrong. Personally I just have heard enough of him for a while although it's nice to hear something positive about him for a change.
I also don't like the notion to send somebody that inexperienced into the line of fire so to speak. He might not only endanger himself but also others with him. Then again, I also don't approve of the frontline reporting we have seen in the recent wars. Just an extra couple of people our troops have to look out for. Why put that extra obligation/hazard on them?Anyhow, if it works out for Joe, more power to him;)
