See i feel lying is usually not a good option coz once u lie...u gotta keep on lying to hide ur first lie & ur sin will find u out one day 4 sure....but 2 b very frank Honesty isn't always the best policy...!!! The problem is that we dont live in theories and we need to assess matters practically.... Many a times.....a small lie can do wonders 4 an individual............Let me cite an example of my frnd..... My frnd had a deep crush on one of his college mates...as a frnd, things were really goin on well between the two...suddenly he threw a party where he approached her.....But things fell apart and d girl was stunned at the situation...she frankly got out of the party...!!!Later she said dat her interest were friendly and not romantic.... My frnd broke down into tears and he vented his feeling 2 me.... At dat time,a two-part idea struck my mind...... First,i wanted 2 show him that there is a tinge of hope....it is inconceivable dat a woman really would never want to be with him...!!!I felt if they were really a good match...time would work it out......... Secondly,i wanted him to make the best response..the lie wasn't really meant 2 crush him..but it rather served as a signal dat he should stop pursuing her...His best strategy would be to move on and find some1 better who deserve him.....!!!! He recuperated now 4rm his past...and is happily married 2 some1 who really deserve him..... see...a small lie can do wonders coz a lie can paradoxically make the truth more convincing......:)

I'm guilty of the latter, but somehow I've never tried the former. I couldn't bear the gnawing at the back of my head when I said something that is untrue just to assuage a person's fears because she'll find out about the truth sooner or later.
