Self-esteem brings a positive self-image, adequate amounts self confidence and enough resilience to see your child through rough time. Little, everyday habits are all you need.
1. Try not to give your child a name he will be ashamed of when he grows up.
2. Avoid comparing your child to other children, not even with siblings.
3. Involve your child in the planning for a new baby.
4. Ask him for advice or help with your chores occasionally.
5. Nurture your child's talents, even if they are not what you were expecting.
6. Assure your child that he/she is loved, no matter how many mistakes he makes.
7. Do not discipline him/her in front of friends or strangers. Do it in private.
8. Teach your child how to lose graciously, and how to win humbly..
Parenting is a huge challenge, but you are well on your way to raising a healthy and well-rounded child...
Happy mylotting parents!!!

For this time, I have no objection to those eight (8) tips and just acquiesce to the 'self-esteem' steps included/concluded in your discussion content. Being a single parent, I agree on those given steps/tips are indispensable to all parents to lesson up themselves and their kids. Thank you, AH, for providing.
