Cooking for a Month

Has anyone here tried cooking for a month? or a week? I used to do this awhile back but then got out of the habit. I had planned on getting back into the habit starting the begging of this month and I am so glad I did. This is only Wednesday but the last 3 days at Dinner Time has gone so smoothly and a lot more calmer. I just love having everything prepared and ready to go. I'm surprised the kids like the menu also, they like knowing what's going to be for dinner that night or for the rest of the week and it gives them something to look forward to when their favorite dinner night gets here. It is so worth a couple long days of cooking to have everything else go smoothly for the rest of the month. What are your thoughts on this?

I get into cooking spells too. But it's hard not to cook when you have 5 kids and it's harder when you really just don't feel like it some nights but you know you have to. One of the many reason's this works so great for me is because even on the night's I don't have a lot of time or feel like cooking, I know it's already there and ready to go within a few minutes.
