Number of homes you own

For awhile now, I've been thinking I want to buy a small home and either two at a time or buy one (smallish one) and try to buy another maybe bigger asap. I also think I want a house in one state and a house in other state. How many homes do you own? How many do you want? What are the pros and cons to owning more than one home?

What do you want to do with both the homes? live in both or live in one and rent/ fix up the other and sell? I have not really ever though about buying more then one home, however that might be because I could not afford that right now. It would be something to think about if I had the cash and the need for 2. Good luck with that.

I just want two because if i ever want to up and move. I just get tired of living in the same place for a long time. I also get tired of my neighbors after awhile. So, I could always go back and forth. Also, it's good to have more than one in case one gets very damage or can no longer be lived in for some reason.

at present we have one house only and there are 3,4 places for us. we didn;t think now ,to build other house in our 3,4 sites .may be we may plan for second house in next year. i hope so .
