I got used to it so I can. I can even sleep with the television on even though I'm not the one watching - just as long as the volume isn't turned up too loud, reasonable volume is enough.

Hi there. I remember my sister-in-law in your topic. One time we had a visitor in my in-laws house, my husband teases her sister, coz he said that the visitor will sleep in my sister-in-laws room. The visitor was their cousin and it is known to have loud snoring noise when sleeping. My sister-in-law said that when she is the first one to sleep and didn't wake up at all it is okay, but when her cousin was able to first sleep than her, she will be awake the whole night because of the loud snoring. My husband gave my sister-in-law earplugs just in case she can't sleep. As for me, at first when I heard my husband snoring I make it a point to wake him and said that he is snoring and after that I fell asleep again. But sometimes my husband said that I too is snoring. Maybe I didn't realize it because I love sleeping a lot. My husband said that I have a deep sleep when we are sleeping.

did the earplugs work? I never used earplugs for any reason but am thinking of buying a pair because I feel like I might need them soon. I have recently been awoken by the noise in the house where I'm staying - whenever my padmate wakes up, I get awoken by her preparing stuff in the kitchen...

Hi, yes the earplugs works well with my sister-in-law....hahaha...I guess it help her a lot...coz she never return the earplugs with us. My husband works in an Airline Industry so he has this earplugs. They use it when inspecting an airplane. Yeah, I think you might need one, just in case. ;o)

I too am able to sleep even when someone is snoring. I have gotten use to anything loud while I sleep because, most often, my folks or my elder brothers and sisters would still be up, doing things or watching something loud. Then, I attended an english camp and I got to sleep beside this old person who admits that he snores. Fortunately, even when he does his snoring, I could still fall asleep. His only remark on my sleeping routine would be that, I speak in english while I sleep?? (^_^")

Yeah, weirded me out and I do recalling waking up at times after saying a phrase or two.. I would often ask those who could hear me of the things that I would be saying but, as clueless as I am, they would say that I would deliver a brief sentence and then hush up.. I really do wonder what am I talking about when I am asleep since, its too hard for me to recall dreams, I hardly dream of anything at all..

Hi oyenkai, I can sleep with television and radio on the whole night. I can't go into sleep if hearing the snoring. I find my roommate usually would snore after she has fallen asleep after quite some time. I’m awakened easily by her loud snoring in the middle of the night. Oh gosh! I could hardly fall asleep again if my roommate keeps on snoring the whole night. I will wake her up to stop her from snoring aloud. I then could fall asleep again. Happy posting

I really find it hard to sleep when there is someone snoring. I really have difficulty sleeping when there are activities or someone is moving. I can however sleep when there is music for as long as the music is soft and not so loud.

i believe i am able to sleep.. if i am super tired and i need all the rest i can have.. so there's really not much time to actually feel the presence of an annoying snore. hehe

I can't really sleep if someone is snoring. I am happy that my boyfriend doesn't snore. I easily wake up if there is a noise. I even woke up when I felt the earthquake at 3am last April 21. Most people didn't feel it as they were sleeping.

It's a big NO! The sound of snore is very irritating. But when I was younger I can't sleep without the TV or radio. I'm so scared of silence.

Our house was this small thing before I turned twelve, which means I had to sleep in close proximity with my whole family from when I was born till that age. My father has a sinus problem. It's problematic because he stops breathing for seconds of a time and there's always the threat that he'll just... stop breathing. Of course, to a kid who had to sleep near a father who snores LIKE A FOGHORN, the only thing I had been paying attention to was that it was SO NOISY! Anyway, years and years of this situation has given me super powers and I can sleep no matter how noisy it is. :P Well, as long as the place I'm sleeping on is comfortable. That's my weak point. :D

Yes, I can sleep when someone is snoring. I can also sleep during earth quake, with lights on, and with somebody talking loud in the next room. I have heard that women complaning that their husbands snore and it affects the sleep. I believe that snoring is not something that can be controlled by the person. It happens in absence of cociousness and nobody has control on it. So, we don't have the right to blame other person for snoring.

Yes, I can sleep even if somebody is snoring, but my sleep is not straight and I find myself staring the ceiling of the bedroom oftentimes.

If i was very tired at that time, I can fall asleep in a short time, even though there's some noise. But when the snoring is very loud, I will jump up and be crazy!

Not unless I have earplugs, the snoring goes right through me and I can't sleep! It drives me cuckoo, I know they can't help it but some people can really snore loudly, gentle breathing or whistling is ok, but when they snore like an elephant it's like NOOOOOOO! It takes ages for me to sleep and if I hear someone snoring I get very restless. Sometimes even earplugs are not good enough. I wish humans had the capability of being able to turn their hearing off and on, that would be the best solution.

If I go to sleep, then none can disturb my sleep. My sleep becomes more and more deep and none can disturb me. Other big sounds like that that of radio and television could disturb me, but not the small sound of snoring.
