Do you believe that something horrible is going to happen on 12/21/2012 that has been predicted by the mayan calender and by Nostradamous? I have read both predictions, the bibles Revelations and about the reversal of the polar axis of the earth and I wonder what you think is going to happen. According to the predictions the alignment of earth, the solar system and the 13th zodiac sign will line up perfectly and the polar ice caps of the earth with reverse their polarity making the earth actually spin in the opposite direction causing major earth charges that could wipe out life on our planet when mother nature is released. The oceans are suppose to raise and dilute with all the fresh water and change their beds destoring coastlines, rivers flood and change beds and courses maybe even flowing in a different direction, volcanoes, earthquakes and massive fires destroy everything above ground. What is your thoughts on this prediction? Is it just another scare like the year 2000 was suppose to be the end all and it was nothing?

ok i will give u a competent answer
Dear... until 2012 NASA will find a way to hit & destroy that !
Technology still upgrade .... upgrade every second left
From 2000 to 2009 lot of things changed...
So u can be sure until 2012 they will find a way to destroy that...
We are in evolution ... we can defeat (but in same time we kill each other :| , with pollution and exploit all we can see ... the most woods)
This is a good subject for talking here

Darn, 2012.. so soon? No the prediction is unbelievable and why would anybody, in this day and age, believe such a thing? It's hard to think about such a thing when we're worrying about the economy right now.

I believe that Dooms Day will not happen on that particular day. I believe in what my religion teaches me, that before Dooms Day there will be small and big signs. Not all have manifested.
The world will change with the sun rising from the west, and this I will not dispute. Years back I read an article about the discovery of a huge asteroid which is on its way into the solar system. It was calculated that this asteroid will approach close to Earth. The dust will block sunlight for at least one day and one night. The gravitational pull will cause the Earth to change axis with the sun seen rising from the west. Compare this to what my religion says, "The Earth will be in darkness for three days and three nights. On the fourth day people will see the sun rising from the west." Dooms Day will occur years after that.
all the best,
rosdimy

This is a very interesting comment and it does have some things in common with the polar caps magnetic field reversal as day becomes night and all to but again in the 2012 prediction I don't believe the world will end but I believe that our planet is going to go through some tremendous changes that will effect the entire world, plant life, animals, humans etc. Who knows it may bring in a better future will it. You know look for the silver lining in all things.

Hi!
Personally I dont believe on this, I believe on what the scripture says on Matthew 24:36, "No one knows when that day and hour will come - not the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father". It clearly stated here that no one even the Son know when the last hour comes only the Heavenly Father. So it is impossible to predict when is the end of time. Those are only assumptions and predictions there is a possibility that it will happen but there is no guarantee because as said only the Father knows. No one should be afraid nor believe on those predictions because its a hoax. The best thing we can do is to strengthen our faith to God and continue loving others.
Be blessed!

The thing that Matthew is talking about is no one knowing the day and hour of CHRIST's RETURN As for these other events, these could very well happen. There will be changes here. I don't believe that 2012 is referring to the personal return of Christ.

Oh my God!! If the predictions will come true, then that's the end of mankind. But I don't really believe in predictions. Only God knows where we are suppose to end and meet Him. The thing about prediction is that its just a superstitious belief and it is not exact to what God will do against us.

Come on! Everyone who decodes nostradamous have their own assumptions. They do not understand what the gentleman has written, but rather coincides the events that took place around the world.
Some people said there will be lot of disasters in 2000, but nothing happened. Now people continue to scare people with predictions. The main reason is to make their books on Nostradamous prophecies sell or to invite more traffic to their websites.
If anyone is so sure about nostradamous prophecy, then let him relinquish all his assets and enjoy the next 2 or 3 years, because any way all his wealth will be lost and possibly he could die in the catastrophe.

Of course there will be an end, but no one can predict when certainly the end will happen ! In Quran, it says that when the sun will rise from west instead of east that will be a major sign of the dooms day.

2012!!
Great Year!!
Whenever my mom talks about the end of the world in 2012, i become very confident and say,"Yeah mom, donn worry it wouldn't pain much when we'll die...". After my this statement she always gives me a damn 10 min lecture....
But i enjoy doing it whenever i see anyone talking about it...
I believe that no one knows whether the World would end in 2012 or not?
But in my culture, there are many signs about it that the earth will be destroyed(I wish that i am wrong)...
I also think that something like "Resident Evil" movie's story would come true, and blah blah blah....
Forget it, and enjoy the life right now..
Lets wait for 2012..
I hope i will be mylotting in 2013!!!!

Well the tsunami was also predicted by the mayans and it did happen. Earth is always spinning. If it is spun in the opposite direction I think there is anythng to fear. Who knows, we may be around to see it. If we survive then we will speak about it and respect the mayans a liitle bit more and be thank full for their predictions.

Pardo me, but i don't believed such news like this..i'm a biblical person who solely believed in the holy scriptures..no one knows of His coming..No one knows when the worlds ends..only God knows..what we must do now is to prepare ourselves, to prepare for our soul and salvation.

I posted on this yesterday responding to a topic about 2050 i believe. I find it hard to believe that someone can predict when the end will be. They said 2000 would be the end but we are still here. They said 6-6-2006 would be the end or the beginning of the end. I myself do believe there is going to be an end. I don't know if it will be soon, but i will like to live my life normal and not live like i think tomorrow is my last day or the next. So even though the predictions are saying december 2012 i will pretend i know nothing of it.

Yes, I have the same opinion. Nobody knows and that's the reason why we shouldn't think about it. We are here not for this purpose.
Perhaps it was just a nice story the Mayas told their kids and we make it a prophecy :-)
I believed in some things from Nostradamus 15 years before but after i saw so many different predictions in several books for the same year. I gave up this belief. Afterwards you always can say it was this and that. But nobody said before the two Towers in New York will crash. Only afterwards they said, this could mean the two towers.
I think there were always persons who showed a black future no matter in which time you will live/would have lived.
If you read the KRYON Books, you'll see it's more about a change in the mind of the people than a change in the Earth. Certain things have changed the future which has been shown to the old prophets!
Sure, the Earth affects our future too, when we look at the efforts that are now made for a better environment (or when you see that the recession helps us in this way a little bit, less energy because we consume less products from countries who are far away from us - China, Asia).
Everything has it's good and bad side in this economic downturn and i hope we will learn afterwards more, how to treat other people's money, relationships and our earth.
We can only survive when we stand together, we have only one place to live, at the moment nobody helps us from outer space :-)
Have a good time and it's a bad time for worries!
