Do you think 24 hours is sufficient to do what you want to do every day?

I think I have too many things that I want to do everyday, like reading, working and web surfing, that I don't think 24 hours is enough for me to be allotted.
Sometimes, I have to get up earlier in order to get my things done and spare more time. But time is still not enough in the sense that I have so many distractions.
Do you share the same opinion?

24 hrs. is sufficient only if we plan early...That is also my problem...I am running out of time to do all I have to do..sometimes I sleep late to catch up with things, sometimes I plan to get up early...but end up gettin' late...I've realized that Time is something you cannot control...so we must make the most out of it. If we prioritize the things which are more important for us and do the least important if we have extra time, so that we are still satisfied with what we accomplished in every single day, even if 24 hours is still not enough we find ways to make every moment count. (^_^)

I think prioritizing things is the only way to better allot our time. But I still find time is not enough for me, especially when I want a good reading for a whole day. If I really do that, I will have no time left for doing other things.

I guess. . . 24hours is enough for us everyday. . because there you will find the manager in you. . you'll be able to balance things out and the thrill of hurrying up each minute counts. . . ^_^

Yes. Good time management is crucial in having a balanced life. I think I am origanized, but not in terms of time management.
More often than not, I made a list and set some target, but failed to stick to them...

for me it 24 hours wasn't enough to do all the things that should be done in a day. If only i can extend the day to make it 48 hours in a day maybe it would be enough...
What i did now i made a time management table for me to know what should i prioritize and manage my time too..

Oh, mein_traum, you have hit the nail on the head; I never seem to have enough time to get everything done in just 24 hous. There are times I stay up for days on end and still I just haven't enough time to accomplish everything I desire to do in a single day. I tend to run until I am so exhausted that I have to take a nap. When I wake up I go at it again.
At the end of 2008 I decided to simplify my life and began making changes to accomplish this. I still wish for more time but do not feel the pressure like before. Hopefully I will continue to make positive changes that will afford me a more relaxed life.

That's a good start to make a change. I hope by setting up my own schedule, I can improve the situation too.

yes! 24 hours is not enough! but i also think 24 hours is enough.
why? because for people, it doesn't really matter what the number of hours in one day. it will never be enough anyway, because we are greedy and will never feel satisfied with anything we get, that's just normal, that's just being human... :D
but in fact, some of us can manage and keep going with the 24 hours a day :D

You hit the point! Yes. Human are greedy, and if we are given every day several more hours, that would still be not enough.
When I was a student, I can better manage myself and my study every day. But having a job is totally another issue. I am always out of time to do things that I feel like to do. Everyday is work, work and work.

I definately feel the same. I am a stay at home mother of two and there are never enough hours in the day. I have to clean, do laudnry, work and surf the net. This isn't to mention keeping my children occupied, making dinner and finding the time to keep in touch with family and friends. There have been days when I have woken up early and still not gotten to bed until the wee hours of the morning, I am starting to wonder if this is ever going to change. So yes I do share the same opinions.

Being a mother of two is not an easy job, considering the different chores you have to handle every day. I believe you have done your very best. I certainly believe I couldn't do as much as you are every day, if someday I am to be a mother. Totally unimaginable.

Sometimes its just not enough…and I know what you mean. I am working from 5 in the morning to till 12 at night and only then I am just meeting my deadlines for the day and getting all the work done. But I feel so tired most of the time and the fun seems to have just gone from my life. I really wish there were more hours for me to relax a little more or catch up with some entertainement.

Every one of us is given the same time, but why can some of us finish so many things while others can't? I think the clue is time management. I have been setting some schedule to push myself to do things on time since last year. Sometimes, it works while sometimes it doesn't.

lol no I don't really think so. When I go on to the internet time flies so fast. By the time I check the time I would realize that I spent over 5 hours. And there are so much more things for me to do. Like play guitar guitar and exercise. By the time I'm finished doing what I usually do it's like midnight. Then I would go to sleep and wake up at around 5-7 am. and do whatever I do. I really wish that the day would be longer or that it would be a little slower. Have you ever felt some days where it would take very long to end and some days where weeks just fly by? That's how I feel.

Yep. I have the same feeling. Yesterday was a long long day for me, but today, being on holiday, is flying by.
Having too much distraction is my main problem. Reading, surfing on the net, mylotting all are time-consuming...

Hey,
I have to agree with you mein_traum. I honestly think that there should somehow be more hours in a day, because there just isn't enough time to do everything I plan to do. If only it would be like that. Happy MyLotting!

Before I have the job I think 24hours a day is enough for me, but now, I find it is not enough for me to use.
Everyday I must go to work early than my colleagues, so I have to get up early, then the whole day, I must work hardly the whole day, there is no spare for me to have a rest, so tired.
The time is really really not enough for me now, even in the weekend I have to go to my company, or I can't finish my job.

Working at the weekend is quite common in some industries. I know there is sometimes need to work for long hours. Most of the time, it is hard to balance between work and rest.

I think that is very true; however, not that I'm alittle older, I've learned to slow it down a bit. Sometimes you don't have to do all the things you think you have to. Maybe just the things you need to and then take a moment or two for yourself.
I think we're in such a hurry to get the things we want done, that we forget to take a minute or two for ourselves. Sometimes you have to look at things differently too. Like picking up the house and cleaning I find relaxing. Mainly because when it's all clean I feel better. I don't look at it as a chore, I look at it as doing something for myself because I feel good when the house is picked up.
Perception can change how you look at things and how important the things that you do are.

Time management is really very important for MBA. My friend is now a full-time MBA student, and he is busy just like crazy. But he really are learning many things from studying.

24 hours would be fine for what I want to do, but what I want to do is sit around and watch TV, maybe go play some tennis or golf, take in a movie, and what-not. It's all the other things I HAVE to do that I don't have time for!

Yes. I absolutely agree with you. I don't know how come I don't have enough time to do what you just mentioned. Only when we can make a balance between work and leisure, we know the real meaning of life.

I believe.. 24hrs are more than sufficient.. to do anything in the world. All the great people in the past also have had only 24hrs per day.. And now we have all the technologies available which are time saving..& internet.which makes life easier..
If you have a proper time table.and gud time sense.

I agree with you. I think even 48 hours in a day isn't enough for me. I have many things want to do and more time will be better for me. This is why every night I have to go to bed late as I have to squeeze my time to do something I want. At least it's my spare time.

It never seems like there are enough hours in the day to accomplish everything I feel I need to do. It's not that I have a lot of distractions, just a lot of responsibility. I get up each morning, during the week by 7 a.m. and do not go to bed sometimes until well after midnight. Even then, I don't seem to get everything done.

really, it is really not enough to have only 24 hours in a day...there are a lot of works which take our whole 24 hours of the day..sometimes it happens that there is no time for enjoyment...

I probably have a rest for 8 to 9 hours every day, working time is probably 10 hours. I thought that one day passed by soon.

there are times that 24 hours is not enough to finish everything that i need to do, but there are also times that 24 hours seems to be too much!
