an addicated friend

your sentence suits a right addicted friend,but not best friend, a friend who give importance to friends,but not family is only common phenomenon in this generation,not as the right person to have,in my opinion a best friend should be those who are with me in my joy and also in my sad time., he should also give importance to his family ...because family matters all,a friend may in short time but family stands by in every time...

My family is everything to me,as I am to them,they love and care about me no matter what choices in life I make,friends come and go,

It means the person is a good friend but your family should be as important as your friends. Just like your friends want love and attension, so does your family.

Such persons should be kept at distance for the simple reason, that his family may be requiring him badly and he is here with friends. Better someone explains the importance of his family to him. That is good friendship.

addicted friends usually waste time in the friend circle they wont help or listen to there family they just want to enjoy there life and dont care about family problems.
