Do people really change from bad to good?

Some people promised to changed, but only in the first stage, in time, they will be back to their real attitude/habit.
Even if you help them change or encourage them to keep the relationship harmonious. They tend to be elusive of your help. They think they are very good with what they're doing right now, but not really.
I think, I made a mistake with my decision before to believe in some people.

Hello! No,attitude of people don't change.They just pretend to be changed.Human nature never change what so ever the situation may be.thanx.

Maybe, but based on my experience, they can't really change. This is true especially if the person is already an adult because they have been used to their ways for a long period of time. Although, I still give everyone a benefit of the doubt.
