I have had two panic attacks. I don't take meds. Once was cause I worked 3rd shift and didn't get sleep and was playing ultimate frisbee in the sun and my body just couldn't take it anymore and my hands got all stiff and it was hard for me to breath. It also happened to me when I went on the gravitron upside down. I remember my mouth feeling weird like my teeth were going to pop out of my head and my hands did that weird thing again. It's not fun.

I've had such bad panic attacks that I was shaking all over and unable to stand. I don't have as many now since I took up meditation and now speak my mind when I'm stressed rather than keep it bottled up all the time. I have an anxiety medication to take only when I have a panic attack. I don't need to take it very often, I think it helps the most knowing I have it just incase. It just calms me down and stops my heart from pounding so I can get through the stressful situation I am in. It really helps because the main problem I had was once a panic attack began I had a hard time stopping it.

I have had panic attacks, they are so frightening!I had them a few years ago when I was really stressed,I remember having trouble breathing and my vision bluring.I didn't know what was going on and went straight to my doctor, who informed me that it was a panic attack. It only happened a couple of times (thank goodness)so I didn't need meds.

yes, I'm taking something now for them, it seems to be working fine at the moment.

Have never had one but i have a good friend who does and shes taken so many different meds to try and control them. They dont look like much fun to me, i kinda sound unsympathetic when im trying to talk her through one or keep her from having a worse one because i try to downplay it, this tough love seems to work though because the bigger deal you make the more the other person can panic.+
