Do you think the most automobile accidents occur in automatics or stick shifts? My brother says he thinks stick shifts see less accidents because most women don't know how to drive them! Jerk. Lol.
But what do you think? And why? Which do you prefer to drive?I drive an automatic, by the way, because...
I don't know how to drive a stick shift, lol.

I kinda wish I had been taught to drive stick. I've been car shopping a few times and was unable to get the car I really wanted because it was only available as a stick shift. Then again, I'm not that great of a driver in an automatic, so maybe it was all for the best, lol.

Automatic of course, I could never drive a stick Shift, It was too compicated. You don't see too many of those anymore, I don't guess I know they were cheaper.

I think a lot of the sportier, more expensive cars are still stick shifts, like the Lambos and whatnot. But I don't really know...I'm not really a car girl, lol.

i started driving on a stick shift transmission,i've never tried driving an automatic transmission type vehicle of any kind..maybe a GO KART hahaha
i know driving an automatic transmission is advantageous specially driving on traffic and jammed streets also during long trips.

Oh ho ho...really now? Well, tell that brother of yours that I only know of one man that knows how to drive a stick shift...make that two...and three women that know as well. What does that say, eh?
Me, I was taught on a stick shift and still can hear my father's words in my ears, "If you know how to drive a stick shift, then you can drive any car." Would be great, except stick shifts are very rare these days. I'd prefer one because it's simpler, and cooler. Granted, you need quick hands and feet, but that's part of the charm. Even though I don't have one, while I'm driving, I speak up and talk to my children of what they should do if they were driving a stick, just in case.

Oh, my brother gets an ear full everytime he makes one of his little sexist remarks, and believe me...this time was no exception, lol.
I just kinda wanted to know if people driving automatics got in more accidents or if people driving stick shifts were more likely to be involved in accidents. Maybe someone out there was wondering the same thing and has conducted some research on the matter. I guess I'll surf the net and check that out.
