Democrat vs Republican

There really isn't much difference anymore. When I was growing up the working man generally associated more with the democrats, the businessman was republican. Personnally now I really don't like either. I think that people should all register independent now. I am a firm believer in disbanding political parties as I think it is destroying American government. I have talked to a few people and have heard a few interviewed on television, that said this is the first election in which they actually crossed party lines. I think that is a step in the right direction.
