Can't formatmemory card, please help

I have a 512MB(MCC) memory card which is not detected by my mobile phone. I can access it in my PC using a card reader and can play media files in it. But can't format it. Delete, copy and cut (to or from) option also not work. Any help in this regard will be appreciated. Thanks

check to see if theres a "Lock" switch on the side. I had that problem with my SD card for my camera, and put a piece of tape over the switch to hold it in place. Works fine now. :-p
