This is a little dicussion, maybe when we were little children, our teachers and parents told like that:"By the public bus, please out of you seat for the elderly " And do you keep this custom right now?If some old people stand beside your seat, can you let him/her sit on your seat when you by bus?Even you are far away from home, even you are tired on your daily work? How many times have do like this? I promise that,if some elder beside my seat i will let him sit down. And i just did this afternoon when i by subway! And you?Tell us.....Happy mylottting!

Good manners matter everywhere and every time. We should offer our seat to the elders because they need it more than us and because it makes us feel better.

yes that is the tradition in my place to respect the elders and that will be the first thing to do if we are at home and have a visitor or even a family related that we have to be gentleman to the elders. Is it the way of respect. and i do respect the elders. sometimes when i am at the bus i gave properly the seat to the old people especially when they could not bare their body to seat so i carry them well.

sometimes I do not take a seat on the bus if I know there will be old man later,I'd rather leave the seats alone and just stand by.I doing this just because I do not want some trouble because if the old stand near your seat and you won't sit comfortable there,I'd rather sit and that way it will keeps me more clearly on the way.Anyways, it is a good tradition and we and the younger generations should stick to it
