Keyboard shortcut to view desktop

I have a number of windows open. What is the keyboard shortcut on windows systems to see the desktop(equivalent to minimizing all windows and showing desktop)

The windows key + D is the shortcut to view the desktop.If you have many windows open It will minimize everything.I learnt this trick when i was in college.I then use it in my home when i need files from desktop.

hi teachguru no problem try windows key+z+d then all the currently opened windows will be minimized
