How time flies! It only seemed like yesterday when I was celebrating my 21st birthday (I'm 22 now) I have stopped celebrating my birthday for no apparent reason for these past few years, So this day does seem normal but yet that birthday kid inside me is still screaming "It's your birthday!" I have been wished by a few friends uptil now, mostly by sms and phone calls, so that brings me to my next discussion "Do you like being wished Happy Birthday in person or by other means?" I know sometimes it's just not possible for other people to meet you in person but I guess i'm just happy that they remembered.

Hello vamp!!!
At the outset let me wish you a warm HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
And as for me I still like when people can come and wish me personally a happy brithday. If they can't come then next best I like is atleast by a call. But surely I dont like being wished by message! Its too impersonal and devoid of any emotions!
So what are your preferences??

Indeed, I too prefer to be wished in person as wishing in person has the value that no digital means can make up for. Thank You for your greetings

Hey HAPPY BIRTHDAY..
Well, in my case, I'll be waiting for 364 days for the D-Day. I will expect people to call me and wish me.. and I get angry if my frnds forget it( what to do,I consider it a special day. and I want my close frnds to definitely wish me.) It doesn't matter if they call you over the phone, or come in person( which will of course be very nice and sweet of them). it only matters that I celebrate my special day with my loved ones. he.. he.. I expect best wishes from them (which is human (kids) tendency)...

hi vampirestonez, my dear friend, firstly i would like to wish you a very very happy happy birthday, but i believe, its belated as this discussion was posted by you yesterday and i am responding it today.
but that hardly matters, isn't it, what do you think. i think to wish someone is the best and i think so because i like to be wishe by many and many people. all my relatives, parents, friends, near ones everyone. i like to have a call or a sms or e-mail. whatever, i like to have loads of wishes. i dont like people to give giffts, i am happy with wishes because wishing means remembering, so if you wish that means , that person has some value for you in his heart.
so my dear friend, belated happy birthday.

Many many happy returns of the day. I personnaly feel good if somebody remember me and wish me on my birthday. That makes me feel happy. I don't expect from any one to give me gifts or they are meeting me personnaly and wishing me. But i expect the wishes from my close friends and family persons.

Happy birthday to you dear friend. I think you have to celebrate this day. If you don't want to celebrate then you can do it silently , you can make some one happy , may be a poor by offering him some food or cloths. I am sure you will find happiness in doing that.
