What did you took up/ taking up in college?

Hello thukio16. I took up AB International Studies major in Peace and Development.

I have Bachelor of Science in Computer Science under my belt. We didn't have any specialties in our time, we were taught to become "blank slates" - which means that we knew all the basics (Java, C, C++, lisp, python, etc) and that we were actually good at learning whatever a company would require :) I turned out to be training for Database Admin :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I am working on a bachelors in social sciences right now. Toward the end of my curse I will transfer to another college to complete my teaching credentials. So I will have a teaching degree in about 3 years!!

Well I was supposed to take up a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. But they were not taking any more students for those courses because it was too full. No one got in. We have to wait for the graduates to leave first which sucks. I'm doing Behavioral Science right now. That's the closest thing I can find to it and I hope I'm doing the right thing. I'm doing it until this September then I'm gonna switch back over to Biology and Chem. Tell me guys is Behavioral Science close to Biology. But in your first year there aren't many important courses for your career. Just some general ones to get a taste of what you are getting into. It's your second year and so on that matters. I didn't want to sit around home wasting time. Especially when education is free.

I'm now taking up Computer Science and I hope I can graduate on time! I'm an incoming senior and I really want to do my best to graduate by 2010. :)

took maths in school....and have almost done with my graduation in computer science ......next:MS in Computer Science :-)

I majored in business , but I did not finish school. It was too hard with no help and a , at the time , 1 year old daughter and I was only 18. I had to travel to college and home and I just could not do it anymore. But now my daughter is in college and it makes up for me not going!!

I took up BS Computer Science. My choice was predominantly influenced by my interest in computers. The other factor was that I had a friend in high school who was taking the same course. I didn't want to be alone LOL
