how can i finish a story?

my friends like to read my stories and they usually get mad at me if i start a certain story and then not continue it. Especially if they like the plot.
how can i find the inspiration to finish my stories and/or poems...?

I would suggest that you stop and take the time to set aside at least 2 hours of me time. It sounds like you are a great author. Sleep on the plot and think about how you want it start, end and what you want to go in between.
You are going to have to make up in your mind that you will not stop until everything you have started is completed. That is for every story and poem.
