Still On Level 8

Your star ranking doesn't have anything to do with the number of discussions you start. It's based on how your discussions are rated by others. The more people who + your discussions, the higher your number will go. The opposite happens if people - your discussions. I will + this one and maybe some others will, too, and that will raise you to a 9.

the ratings do work in a peculiar manner.nobody has been able to configure yet.but more your activity here at mylot(not neccessarily the discussions),more will your reputation will be,which will indirectly affect your star.

i too did not really know how to get up from this red star of mine. i had been a red star since i got my first star. so that was long years ago already. but let us be more patient and wait until we reached for that blue one. i am working as hard as i can now to reached my blue star sooner. i hope you'll get yours too! just enjoy yourself and your stay here on mylot and i know sooner we'll get to the highest. happy mylotting!

So far as i know, the star/ the mylot reputation point goes up according to your density of activity at mylot. Its not the number of posts here that would determine your reputation point. You have to put in quality posts to get up. I would also recommend another thing, you should comment on the responses you are getting for your discussions. The more interactive you are on any discussion u start or respond,the more your ladder goes up. So keep rising. Keep mylotting.

I suggest that you don't let yourself be bothered about your star. Sometimes it goes down because of a negative rating, which means that someone didn't like your comment. Anyway, we can't please everybody so just speak your heart out as long as you're not offending anybody. Happy mylotting!
