My first experience of snorkeling was at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia when I was 21. I saw the colorful looking coral and many friendly fish. Off the coast of Western Australia I saw a manta ray. I did some snorkeling in French Polynesia and did this with black tipped sharks and sting rays. I liked going snorkeling in the Cook Islands too. It was lucky in those two places that I could swim out from the beach to lovely spots to go snorkeling. It was so exciting in New Zealand to snorkel with dolphins around the Bay of the Islands on Christmas Day. I did more snorkeling in the Seychelles and in Maldives, seeing lots of pretty looking fish. I enjoyed going to Belize and snorkeling with nurse sharks. Have you been snorkeling before? If so where? If not would you like to try out snorkeling?

Wow, that sounds like a wonderful adventure and I am quite jealous and in awe of you because I know that's something I wouldn't have the courage to do, I love the ocean but it does fill me with fear because it can be a dangerous place to be what with the currents and the dangerous sea creatures that inhabit the oceans, like great white sharks, sharks, rays and jellyfish ewww! It's not something that I would want to do, the closest I've got to seacreatures is a glass bottomed boat but that was fun and enjoyable.

Myself and mhusband went snorkelling in Antigua but and it was great as the waters were so clear! When we go to Florida we are spending a day in Discovery Cove where you can snorkel with the sting rays and tropical fish - I really can't wait for my husband and friends to experience it as I have been before so know what to expect and I cannot wait to see how much they will enjoy it!

I love snorkelling too. I have snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef, Lord Howe Island, Fiji, Vanuatu and Tahiti, plus at home in Sydney and the NSW east coast. It is so relaxing to be able to become part of the ocean scene. Was it on Moorea in Tahiti that you snorkelled? When I was there, I saw the black tipped sharks and sting rays too.
