I just asked my toddler daughter to give me a hug and she looked at me, rolled her eyes and then gave me the smallest hug possible. I thought that kids did not get that attitude until they were older. She is not even 2 yet! Have you ever had your kids roll their eyes at you when you asked for a hug?

Not at 2. My daughter has started a bit of the eye roll thing. But she is in kindergarten and it is amazing what they pick up once they start school.

:)) my daughter does the same thing to me when she is told to do something. She is the smallest just turned two but has the biggest attitude in the house. she has never done it when i ask for a kiss or a hug only when she is doing something she isnt supposed to. she says shhh when to her daddy tells her no dont touch this or dont do that. shes is cute but sometimes frustrating.

My daughter just turned a year and I saw the attitude coming a few months ago. Actually when she get mad she stomps her foot. I want to be stern with her, but it is just so cute I have to laugh. I know my laughing will have to stop because I know her tude is just going to get worse. Ahhh what to expect in her teenage years.

LOL...my daughter would do this whenever we would talk to her sternly and when we thought it was resolved she would roll her eyes at us. She would also when she got into trouble she would fold her arms and turn her head away from us. She had and sometimes still has quite the little attitude and she is only 8.

:) My daughter is almost 2, and when I ask for a kiss she squeals and yells "noooooo!!!" and throws her hands over her mouth and laughs. Funny, but sad as the mommy!! So now I just tell her I'm gonna kiss her ears, so she covers them, then I go for the lips. It's more of a game for her than anything, and she thinks she's being sneaky when she does it.
Your daughter is just getting a sense of humor, and is probably too busy playing with her toys or doing other things to stop and hug. If you don't make it a big deal and push her to do it, she will do it on her own. My daughter ran up to me today while playing and said "Mommy, Gimme big tiss!" ("big kiss") She grabbed my cheeks and layed one on me. But 5 mins later when I asked her for one, she covered her mouth. ::shrug::

What did you do Lilly that makes your toddler says "Mummy want hugs and didn't give me ....". Kids are very strange these days lily so whatever wrong you do remember it and then you will receive the biggest hug that you deserve. lol

LOL! Kids do funny things sometimes. I know my daughter has amazed me every since the day she was born. She is 8 and she still does stuff that I didnt think she should know yet. I don't mean to laugh. It's just funny. My daughter is in a stage that she says she is not my baby anymore. She is a big girl. She doesnt need all that barbie stuff. She is 8 years old. What does she want to play with? LOL!
