The current student count is 700 meaning an increase of 140 students. To arrive at this, you change 125% to a decimal...1.25 then multiply 560 by 1.25 and you will get 700.
To check your work, divide 700 by 560 and you will get 1.25 meaning the answer is correct. Hope that helps!

To under stand the problem, let us presume last year we had 100 students in the class, this year we have 125% of what it was last year, which means 125 students this year! That agin means the increase is only by 25 students !
Same way here we will have 560 students of last year multiplied by 125% to get this year's strength.
And to get the difference in the two years , we will have to subtract the old strength from the new strength !
Thus our problem goes like this
Last year's strength 560
This years strength = (560 x 125)/100 = 700
So difference i the strength will be 700 -560 = 140 students.
That means this yera the class is having 140 more students than the last year !
