Hi, i just wanted to help you learning the basic of arabic LESSON ONE : I) LETTERS ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? II) PRONOUNCIATION ? = A "Aleef" ? = Ba "Ba" ? = Ta "Ta" ? = Tha "Tha" - Pronounced like the "TH" of "FourTH" ? = Ja "Jeem" ? = Ha "Ha" This is the famous arabic "H" which 90% couldn't pronounce (aHmad, muHammad,...) ? = Kha "Kha" like the name "Jaoul" ? = Da "Da" ? = Dha "Dhal" prounced like "th" from "the" ? = Ra "Ra" very similar to the English "R" ? = Za "Za" ? = S "Seen" ? = Sh "Sheen" ? = S "Saw" ? = Da "Dough" ? = Ta "Taw, Tow" ? = Dha "Dho, Though" ? = ^A , this one will be lil hard to explain you how to pronounce it so my advice is : if you have an arabic friend just ask him how to pronounce : ^Aly, ^Amer,... ? = Gha "Gha" prounounced like the French "R" (pourquoi, alor, merci) ? = Fa "Fa" ? = Qa "Qaf" try to say "Call" but the "Q" must be deeper (coming out of the throat) ? = Ka "Kaf" ? = La "Lam" ? = M,Ma "Meem" ? = N "Noon" ? = Ha "Ha" pronounced like the H from "Hall, Host, Hard" ? = Ou, Wu "Wuaw" ? = Ya "Ya" like "Yes" ? = ` or A, i'll tell you how to use this one later, as a beginner, you'll have to learn the 28 others TY

Thank you for posting this lesson. I love learning a new language.I have an Arabic text book with me and I can read Urdu a mixture of Arabic and Persian. In the Arabic Textbook that I have, the author clearly says the first few lessons need be learnt directly from the teacher. Only then the pronunciation gets right. What is your opinion. Anyway I will follow your lessons.
