What is the point?

I have never understood the point in getting drunk. Going out and having a few drinks with your friends, fine. Sitting down and having a few beers after work to relax, fine. But what is the point of sitting home at home alone and drinking yourself into a stooper night after night? Getting so drunk that you can hardly stand to get up and go to bathroom and when you get there you end up peeing all over the seat and the floor?
Do you know anyone who is like this? Have you ever been like this? I have never been like this, but I know someone who has and still is.

hi lilybug! Well yes I know what you mean I don't see the point either you get nothing out of it but falling on your face night after night and puking your guts out in the morning. I mean yeah I drink but I only drink on occusions cause I really am not a drinker. Yah I know someone like this it's my mother since she met her new husband he's changed her into a drinker she was never like that at all before she met him. I remember when I was living with them I woke up one night to go to the bathroom well you know how your not always awake when you first step out of bed ok that was me and I went to the bathroom sat down and my butt was so wet cause she peed on the seat I woke her up that night and told her to clean it up it was so gross I jumped in the shower and couldn't go back to bed. So yeah I know what you mean.

Hi lily,
hahaha..you remind me of my uncle back home...He is very hardworking and he is a farmer but when he starts to drink, he drinks unlimited until to the point that he cannot stand anymore and will just sleep wherever he is!
I also don't understand them. Just lack of self-control and discipline for sure!

I do not drink, but am not against anyone who does. I could never understand how people can say they had a great time, when they were so drunk they can not remember anything. I went out with my girlfriend this summer to a club. She knows that I do not drink, and when the waiter came around for drinks, I ordered a soda, she changed it to a virgin something. She drank, drank, and drank, when we left she was so drunk, I was really surprised because I have never seen her like that before. She was arguing with everyone, especially the lady that was driving. I think afterwards she was embarrassed by the way she acted, because I have only spoken with her two times since that incident.

I used to get drunk when I was younger but now I only drink occasionally. When your young, sometimes its ok to get drunk and be stupid :-), just for the experience.
