Remake of foreign telenovelas in the Philippines

Hello jlamela! I guess it's not really the concept of because we don't have best writers here but to the fact that it's more easier to make a new telenovelas if it's done already plus they can save money in doing it. But I guess the real reason is that, it's more hit if it's a remake from the foreign telenovelas. Honestly, I don't agree with it because I do believe that every filipino writers must have a chance.

I guess it's just because of the trend nowadays. Remember the time when quality movies and tv series where rampant? I guess those light bulbs on our writers head will soon light up.. just have faith. :D

I guess they should also blame half of it to the viewers. most filipinos right now are hooked to the concept of television US has given us. Heroes, fringe, 24, chuck, ans such. c'mon, don't tell me you don't like it, and who won't. anyway, the main concern here is, times are changing and if they can't keep up with it then it's their fault. producers nowadays cannot pick a good script for a tv, it's their problem. when it comes to korean telenovela, it think it's good they remake it. korean are bad in acting. it's just that the story is cute and somewhat different from our taste and what we used to see. that's why people loved it. but you have to admit, acting is bad. Betty La fea? it has been ramade it several countries. america, spain, italy. i dont know if there are others. filipinos are born comedian, it's our right also to have a piece of betty la fea.

To tell you about this crazy stuff from Tagalogs, admit it, Tagalogs are full of copy cats. You tagalog has nothing but a culture of crap and mediocrity. That is why there is no originality from Tagalogs because your culture crap!

It's because of money, where money is, their they go. It's what make the television network gain more than showing our own work. Have you observed now, that pinoy movies are very few compared to the past years. It's because telenovelas right now are the most in than movies for them to earn more. So, its just pure business.
