just got off the phone with my son. He lives in Michigan. They just got 6 inches of snow again today. With the global warming he is keeping his thermostat at 56 degrees to keep the expense of heating oil down. It has cost him $300.00. He said he’s enjoying the global warming by shoveling 6 inches of snow off his drive way in order to drive his car with the air on to keep cool in these global warming temperatures. As you can see he is having a hard time believing in global warming theory.

I live just south of Michigan, I am in Ohio. I have been out shoveling the white stuff today. Its going to continue thru the night and all day tomorrow. We are in the process of getting dumped on. I wish some of that warm air would come this way. Next week its going to be down to zero for a few days, brrrrr.

Hehehe...I'm with your son there lol. We're having more snow and blizzards than ever this year. And temps...last week it was below zero! I feel for him with his heating costs. It's getting so unaffordable just to keep warm. I have oil heat here, and just a half a tankful costs more than $500 bucks, and that's keeping the heat at 58 degrees. I'm especially grumbling over that since I'm supposed to keep my hands and feet warm (have raynauds & other circulatory problems.) Right now I have on double socks, a wool hat and a pair of stretchy gloves. Global warming?! I think it's more of the coming of the ice age lol.

Wow and I get concerned when my heating bell gets up over $150. I'm glad I live down here in the South. I really do feel for you Joy. I lived in Nebraska and we would see some cold weather but didn't have the moisture that you do. It has been fairly warm here up in the upper 60s. Yes it does look more like the ice age is returning. Put you feet on a hot water bottle and keep warm as possible.

LOL Yeah, I can't sympathize with the global warming people right now either. I am actually not so sure it is happening at all. At least not in the cataclysmic way they lead us to believe.
All I know is that it has been a colder winter, and that in other places where it is usually mild it has been quite cold as well. Heck my mom tells me it snowed in Portugal - and not in the mountains either LOL - . People aren't supposed to know what snow is out there! :)

Since when did climate change mean that everywhere on the planet increases in temperature every year? Meteorology is a hugely complex science. Supercomputers are used to study the intricate connections between all the related variables so it just makes no sense to say "it's cold here right now, so global warming doesn't exist"

Hi, i haven't experienced snow in my life in any way. I live in southern part of India,! I am really clue less on your discussions. But as far , humans do they part correctly, nature will not have any adverse effect on us. Its all the deeds of humans that made us to this situation, a hole in ozone, volcanoes, earthquakes and what not? Cutting down of trees unnecessarily must be banned to have a cyclic maintenance in the atmosphere. Hope evrething gets alryt in your son's place. Take care:)

My son was being sarcastic since he doesn't believe in global warming. If you are getting a lot of cold weather and a lot of snow which they are in the part of the country that he lives in. I do believe we need to care for the earth but in my opinion some people just go too far. I don't believe we have any thing to do with the volcanoes or earthquakes. As for the hole in the ozone some of the new regulations are making it worse.

Global warming my foot. My husband is from the UK - my home is in Illinois so we spend most winters here because England is not supposed to get the intense cold like Illinois does. I talk to one of my kids almost every day and guess what - for most of the time it has been warmer in Illinois than here in the UK so instead of calling it Global Warming they should re-name it temperature shifting. As for Al Gore - he can stay quiet as far as I am concerned. The man has always been a total waste of space in my opinion. he sisn't know what he was talking about when he held office in the USA and nothing has changed - he still doesn't know.

I have lived here, on this Island for 30 years! Global warming....where? This is/has been the ruggedest winter that I have experienced! It is unprecedented that we get snow b4 Xmas! This year we had dump after dump after dump! Total of about 3 metres! Days of below zero weather...and I mean days! I've lost plants that I have had for 20+ years! NOW...we are facing severe rains, and many parts of the Lower Mainland of British Columbia have been Provincially & Federally declared disaster areas! Global warming must be at both POLES (North & South) and the Pole weather has moved to the equator! Cheers!
