johnny depp or eddie murphy?

All Batman fans are waiting for the part 3 of Christopher Nolan's Batman. Latest reports said that it is being developed under the working title "Gotham" and set to be released on 2010. Fans of Johnny Depp were so excited when they heard that the producers of the film had chosen him to play The Riddler which was played by Jim Carrey in 1995's Batman Forever. But latest updates were now being heard that Eddie Murphy has reportedly been signed up by Christopher Nolan to play The Riddler for The Dark Knight Sequel.
Personally I would rather agree to see Johnny to play The Riddler. He is well known to be more effective with eccentric and bizarre characters. On the other hand, Eddie Murphy is also good but I would rather love to see him in a comedy movie.
Maybe The The Dark Knight director has a new kind of image to bring for The Riddler. After all, Christopher Nolan had already proved himself as a well made director.

I'd rather see Johnny Depp as the Riddler for two reasons:
1. He's my favorite actor.
2. He has "the" touch with bizarre characters and I think he'll do a great job with the Riddler.
Besides, by the way Chris Nolan has directed the Batman movies (twisting the Joker 'till his "jokes" weren't funny anymore and adding a dark humor to it) he would work better with Depp, while Eddie would do a much Carrey-a-like character.
I hope "Gotham" is as good or better than The Dark Night... I just loved it!

I like jonny depp because he can be really goofy. He's kinda like the next generation of jim carrey lol. I cant wait till the next batman is coming out. Too bad joker is out, it'd be great if he appeared in it. I like the movies where there were more then one villain. I also loved jonny depp from the Pirates of the Carribean movies.

If they'd actually take my vote hands down it would be Johnny Depp over Eddie Murphy for this part.
Then again I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised. I would have never ever thought of Michael Keaton for the role of Batman years ago, but I once I saw it, I thought he made a very good one.
