What type of symptoms did you experience while you were pregnant? How long did they last? What kind of cravings did you have, if you had any? And do you still have those certain cravings?
I would have to say my biggest symptom was I had a hard time brushing my teeth in the morning. I morning sickness until I was six months and it wasn't always in the morning. And ginger did not help me at all. I tried everything that had ginger in it and it made me even more sick. My 7th month, I felt great. My 8th month I was craving sushi and tofu, a lot. I didn't eat anything raw of course. I definitely gained a lot of weight my last month. :) My friend had some weird cravings like dirt and pickle with ice cream. I didn't have any cravings like that. But I do still crave sushi and tofu more than I did before I was pregnant.

lol... Guys actually suffer symptoms too. A friend of mine, her husband had cravings, he was sick for like a month, and was always tired. And she didn't experience much of anything. It was kinda funny and weird...lol

i had "morning sickness" from week 5 until 2 days before i gave birth to my son. i vomited at least 3 times per day. i wound up with gestational diabetes and eventually wound up on insulin shots. that resolved right after i gave birth. i also had carpal tunnel in one of my hands/wrist which i had to wear a wrist wrap for at night. that also resolved as soon as i gave birth. i had the usual fatigue and ups and downs with emotions too.

I couldn't imagine being sick for that long...lol Well thats good that you don't have the diabetes and carpal tunnel now. Not to say it was good having it while pregnant. I that I had it bad. But it good that you are healthy. ;) I had the ups and downs after I had my daughter, the PPD. It was a month after, but luckly it only lasted like a week. Well, Thanks for sharing!

The very first symptom I had during my first pregnancy happened LONG before I knew I was pregnant - my tastebuds betrayed me! I'd been an avid Pepsi drinker for a LONG time. Then one day I opened one, took a drink, and almost spit it back out. I passed it to my mother and asked her if it tasted funny; she didn't think so. I figured it was a fluke, but every Pepsi I drank after that tasted awful, and I had to give it up. I think it's was Sierra's (my daughter) way of telling me to lay off the caffeine! Other than my tastes changing, I had no symptoms for my first pregnancy until I started gaining weight.
With my second pregnancy, I was nauseated all the time, and for the first month, all I wanted to eat was chili! Then I developed a strong aversion to tacos and soft baked pretzels - just smelling one of those was enough to make me vomit.
Boy, I don't miss that.

Yeah, I couldn't stand being in a resturant or any fast food place that had a strong smell of greasy foods. I would have to say the morning sickness was the hardest for me. I couldn't stand it. I think I lost 10 lbs during the first 6 months of my pregnancy. And then I started putting on more weight...and more. : ) Anyway, thanks for sharing! :)

In the first trimester my tastes changed. Couldn't stand coffee. I had an intense craving for fruit and I couldn't cook. I could eat anything other people cooked (after it had cooled abit) but I couldn't stand the smell of food cooking...any food, that was what would make me nauseous.
I drank a lot of apple juice throughout my pregnancy.
In my last trimester I remember a lot of heartburn. I had to put the head of the bed up on blocks. I also remember in those last few weeks eating a lot of waffles with strawberry jam, whipped cream and maple syrup.
I've never eaten waffles like that again (too much sugar!) and I have never ever had apple juice since. I can't stand the smell of it - though for some odd reason I do like hot apples cider.

Oh, I remember the heartburns too. Those were really bad. I remember the doctor telling me to take those heartburn medication and it didn't work for me. I had that during my second and third trimester as well. I could never find a good way to sleep. I always slept on my side until my last month. My daughter would constantly kick. The last month was a pain... At times I would sit up and try to sleep that way. Gosh, what us women have to go through... Anyway, Thanks for sharing! : )

By my 7th month i could only sleep on my right side and i was used to sleeping on my stomache. to this day i can only sleep on my right side. I didnt have any food cravings except once and i wanted nachos really bad. other than that just all the weight gain that i still have some left!

I had always slept on my stomach, but I had to stop that around 7 months too. I slept on my left side a lot because my daughter liked to kick me on my right side. And then by month 8, I couldn't find any good positions to sleep. There were times where I had to sleep sitting up. I still have a lot of the weight I had gain too. It just doesn't want to go away. :) Thanks for sharing!

With all three of my children, the first pregnancy symptoms I had were a little bit of heartburn. I never experience heartburn when I am not pregnant, so I knew something was up. That symptom lasted throughout pregnancy. I also experienced morning sickness with each child, though it lasted all day, not just morning. The worst was my vomiting everytime I smelled coffee. I never liked coffee, but I worked as a hairdresser while pregnant with my first child, and the coffee station was right behind my station. Every morning as soon as the coffee was made, my coworkers could find me in the bathroom. The look or smell of raw meat (especially ground beef), made me nauseous as well. Morning sickness went away usually around the 5th month with all three of my children. Then the cravings set in. I craved chicken wings with my first pregnancy, and I never liked chicken wings. Now, I love them. I also craved pizza with all three of my pregnancies which I still enjoy.

The heartburn I had was horrible too. Nothing would work to get rid of it. And the morning sickness, blah. I hated that the most. I don't know why they call it morning sickness. I had it all day too. I worked all through my pregnancy too and I worked at a spa. We served muffins and just the smell of that every morning made me sick. Meat was a problem for me too. I couldn't stand going to the cafe area because of all the different smells. Well, Thanks for sharing! :)

I had mild and all very normal pregnancy symptoms. I LOVED being pregnant!!
I had heartburn and morning sickness (all day) for the first three months. I had no idea I was pregnant until 11 weeks, so I was so releaved it was pregnancy and not anything worse.
I had the pregnancy glow that you sometimes hear about.... healthy hair and nails, glowing skin.
If I craved anything it was watermellon and iced tea. But I was pregnant during the summer in hot Texas..... I'm not so sure it was craving. I might have wanted those things if I wasn't pregos.
I experienced some cramping due to dehydration in my last month, but I loved every single cramp. I felt like baby was prepping me for his arrival.... and reminding me "hey, mommy, you might need to drink a little more for the two of us, ya know".
Did I mention I loved being pregnant??

For the first month or so I had morning sickness but after that I didnt really have any other the urge to have a fried egg sandwich with ranch dressing. I guess I had a very atypical pregnancy to be honest I didnt really have any weird craving other then the one mentioned befor I was tired but hey I worked 12 hour days on my feet the whole time. My son however was born premature two and a half months early and was tiny he weighed about 5 lbs and 2 oz. I was sooo scared that I was going to break him. They do say that there is some kind of magnet that you can get and place on your wrist and that helps morning sickness. There are a ton of other routes then ginger.

When I was pregnant with my son I had severe morning sickness that lasted morning noon and night! It was aweful! Nothing helped I couldn't keep anything down, my OB put me on pills to help with the nausea but I threw them up! The only things that were able to calm my stomache was red gatoraid and those red/white mints. Morning sickness lasted until I was about 4.5months along. Then I felt okay for about 2 months, then I developed Toxemia (which they didn't detect until after i had my son) anyhow I had headaches (severe) every day my legs, arms, face everything was swollen! And I mean the kind of swollen that if I took my socks off i had like a inch and a half indent in my leg from them! The only things I really craved was fruit and chocolate!
