What if magic were to be real?

If magic is real or magic does exist wouldn't it be difficult or impossible to control it since there is no logical explantation to how it works? How can one control magic if there is no explanation to how magic works? With science there is an explantation to how things work which enables one to control when figured out? So if magic were to exist or someone has magic powers how would they get the results they desire each time magic is used?

I believe not being able to explain magic is what makes it magic. I personally have no experience in magic but I believe it exists. The rub is, if you can explain it, is it magic?

Wouldn't magic be unpredictable?
