I'm actually quite young and have never used a type writer in my life. They look pretty cool though and it would be absolutely awesome to use one!
You made a little mistake, on your discussion title you wrote typewiter.
Haha, we all make mistakes. :)

I've already given my typewriter the much needed retirement. Ha!ha!ha! I've given it a place in the storeroom Dong. Computer is doing the job better so I don't think I need a typewriter anymore. But I know one friend who still uses her old typewriter as he finds computer too complicated. I can't convince him to explore the magical world of computer. He is too old fashioned!

Hi dong, there is still a typewriting sitting by the side the two computers in the office. The two desktops are always occupied whereas the typewriting just stays lonely aside. We have to submit a set of Performance Form, which has more than 10 pages, by the end of end of the year. We have to fill in our personal information and to write the activities as well as the achievement of our task during the whole year.
There are still a few of my colleagues who dislike and are not good in using computer will use the typewriter to complete their form. We have to submit the original form. I find it is more simple and convenient to type in my personal information on the front page so I usually would sit in front of the typewriter for a short while to complete the simple typing. I would finish the rest of the paper work using my desktop at home.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

I know someone who does. And every week, she makes it to a point to clean her typewriter. From the ribbon to the keypads.
My grandmother. =)

Not anymore dong. The last time I used a typewriter for my exams was in 1997. But, typewriters can still be usable when computers would not be avialable.

No, not anymore. I know my dad still has his trusted old typewriter. He also doesn't have a computer, lol. Sometimes I wish I still would have one. My handwriting isn't that legible and if I have to fill out forms like school registrations for the kids and such, I have to really concentrate in order to make sure people can still read the information I provide. It would go much faster to just put it in the typewriter and quickly type in the info. I might get a typewriter again just for that. Looks like I'm constantly filling out one form or another, for school, for church, other stuff.

In school, if we are accomplishing forms that is not allowing hand writing, we are using our typewriter and I really have difficulty with it because of the adjustments and stuff however, if it is a personal form, I just retype it in computer then print it out.
Typewriter is good only for those specially designated forms that is needed to be filled-out but it is still incomparable to computer.

A good question bro that I can't wait to answer any longer. It's so funny but, yes. Since my PC came into my life I never knew if I use it even just once, but I never forget that I had a typewriter and it's just under my table..cheers bro

I used to have a typewriter, but that was many years ago. I don't know if my parents still keep my typewriter, I haven't seen it for years, so I guess they don't have it anymore. When I was a teenager I used my typewriter a lot, and I liked it very much. Sometimes I wrote stories and letters, and sometimes I was just writing for fun. When I was in the 8th grade one of my subjects in school was typing. We used some very, very old and very bad typewriters and I remember those lessons very clearly. It is about 17 years ago, and I am absolutely sure that they use computers now
