Rembrandt's pencil or Indian Ink sketches have held me captive at the Basel Art museum.

Oh, for sure, Rembrandt is awesome. I've never gone to the Basel Art Museum, where is it located?

Basel is in Switzerland, on Swiss-French border.I was just captivated by Rembrandt bringing in life and reality into his art. I was particularly awed by his (one of the many wonderful pieces of art) portrayal of an Old Woman working in her backyard garden. She had been working for sometime and has straightened herself. She is in her eighties. She is tired because of her age and due to that current work. The evening sun whom she is facing is falling on her face. All this is visible in an Indian Ink drawing is really superb!Awesome! Picasso's is Modern Art whose appeal is different, in the sense that in Modern Art the impression the Art leaves on you is the appeal. It is abstract in its approach, whereas Classical Art is appreciated by its cloeness to reality.
