Yes, my Dad was light skinned and only his arms tanned, my Mom was darker skinned and hair. I was born with red hair, it fell out and then blond came in. My Mother coming from a family where everyone tanned, didn't realize that my playing on the beach all day in the sun was not the thing to do. So I remember being between two wet sheets for 2 weeks of my life at about 2 years old. I had burned all but my private areas. After my hair started to get dark ashe blond, I could finally tan just my arms like my Dad.

Thank you for best response, I would have thought some of the other memories would have been better than this, but at least maybe I'll help someone not do this to their child. Thanks again!

That was my first day to school of my life time.. my parents were shocked when they see that i did not cry.. when they leave me in the school.. After two days of schooling i refused to go the school.. and i was telling .. my Mom.. that i won't go to school hereafter..because the Ma'm is teaching all the rhymes that i know already.. My parents taught me all those rhymes.. before joining me the school.. Only few days i sat in the Lower Kinder Garden.. and after that i was shifted to Upper Kinder Garden class.. and in it.. i stayed! ( studied) for 6 months.. and my Principal gave me Double promotion... and i was asked to study the First Form ( First Standard).. This is the unforgettable memory of mine.. P.S: I sent you mails for X-mas and New Year.. But it bounced back.. Please send me your mail id once again Evelyn. Take care friend.

I have childhood memories of my grandfather's farm, the dogs running about, the hens and the chickens, a goat or two, I can remember runinng around in the fields. My father would go there for bird trapping. Now the fields have made way for a power station that was needed in my country . However I do miss my grandfather's field. I cannot see it anylonger.

Hello dear vanities. There are so many childhood memories that we have. Well, one of my childhood memories is that my mom always brought me some nice cakes to eat when she came back from work in the evening. Before my mom went to work, she asked me to be a good child at home with my elder siblings as always. I used to look forward to my mom back home with cakes for me to eat. I think that a time when I was about more than four or five...Childhood memories are hard to be erased though. Thank you for the discussion, friend.

Memories of the past, especially of the early childhood linger in our minds..those instances wherein we have enjoyed the most bring ecstatic moments to our minds.

One of my earliest memories was the day they brought my baby sister home from the hospital.....I was still sleeping in the crib at 5 and was very upset that I had to move into a big girl bed so my little sister could have the crib....funny how something tramatic like that sticks with you! lOL

Hello vanities, I have too many that I don't know which I should tell here but I want to share something with you here (maybe a little bit steered off from your topic) Whenever my son did something bad or act naughty, my husband will say this word, " I remember I never been like him when I was at his age!" My son is two years old and I don't know how he could remember when he was at the same age. Even when our son was just a year old, he said the same thing. So, when my son cries I will tell him this, " I remember clearly that I didn't cry like him even when my mom gave birth to me. I was such a cute and quiet baby when I came out!"
