I'd seen this film couple of months ago and I absolutely loved it. It is a bit slow paced but you can relate to the characters so its would be more of a joyride. Mandy Moore has done spectacular bit of acting even the guy in the lead role. The film touched me and I really felt so sad towards the end. Spectacular film i've watched it a couple of times...

I was able to watch this movie a long time ago and as far as I can remember, I enjoyed watching this film. It's a Mandy Moore love story where she plays a simple church country girl which was unexpectedly loved by a cute guy who comes from a totally different kind of lifestyle. I think the boy is a member of a group on their school and loving the girl gave the two of them pressure since the boy's group of friends doesn't want her. It's a cute love story, no wonder your campus was talking about it.

I agree! I even watch this movie in the moviehouse. And to be honest, the movie made me cry. Even if I watch it over and over again, I won't get bored and it will always make me cry. Mandy Moore and Shane West are perfect for the movie. They really look good together.

This is one of my ultimate favorite movies. Not many stories can pull off something like this. Two people with totally different lifestyles coming together so easily. The scene that stands out to me the most to show this is when he is working on the car and his friend comes over to the radio ready to jam out and is flabbergasted at the music. "Jamie let me borrow it." She has even gotten his music style to change when earlier in the movie he tries to make her listen to his stuff. I also love this movie's soundtrack - Mandy Moore has a great voice and the lyrics are great. I love You by Switchfoot and Dancin in the Moonlight too.
The movie is a little different than the book and I encourage you to check out the book as well. The story line is pretty much the same but some of the differences give you a different perspective on the story.
