I was talking to my bf on the phone last night and he was telling me about this news story he'd heard the other day about a kid shooting his babysitter...Thinkin about it this morning I looked it up and sure enough the claim is that one of the bbsitters accidently stepped on the 4 yr olds foot, the child went and got a gun and shot the babysitter...
heres the article
http://news.aol.com/article/4-year-old-shoots-babysitter-cops-say/294393
Now....when the bf was telling me about it, he brought up some very interesting points..key points IMO..for example, the weight of a SHOT GUN (which is what is said was used by the child) would be too heavy and awkward for a little kid to hold, let alone hold it steady to aim and shoot..not to mention the kick back on it would be incredible for a 4 yr old kid...So I'm wondering (as is the bf) if it was actually one of the other teens that shot this teenager (there were several babysitting several kids)...ALSO why in the bloody hell wasnt the gun locked up and why was it even loaded in the first flippin place?!?
Are the bf and I the only ones who find this story a bit outta whack??

Hey Ravenladyj! No, you and your bf are not the only ones to
think something is very wrong with this story! I also read
this story the other day and thought the very same thing when
I read it! How could a 4 year old kid load, aim and shoot
a rifle at a teenager who was maybe at least three times or
more his size with others watching before someone grabbed it
away from him? And as you said and I thought the same thing,
the weight and the kick back would have been way too much for
even me as an adult woman let alone a 4 year old kid! Come
on now! The whole story makes no sense! And the father wasn't
really that surprised that the kid knew where to find the
rifle and the bullets and LOAD it and shoot it? I believe that
there is more to this crazy azz story too!

I agree, this sounds fishy to me too. But then, the truth is often stranger than fiction. I'd be interested to know at what angle the bullet entered the bbsitter and where. That would go a long way to explaining HOW a four year old could or couldn't do it. Wouldn't this story make a great episode on CSI?

that does not make sense now that you have pointed it out.. i hope that chick isnt using a little boy as a scape goat for being shot by her boyfriend or something!!
