LOl - where do you get these stories? They are really good and so random. Actually, these days you can get some latex masks that are are really lifelike - check it out here - www.costumenovelties.co.uk **NOT A REFERRAL LINK** - check the mask link and see what you think - lifelike or what? Imagine how a person could look with the right outfit to go with the mask? I guess it could easily happen with the right attitude and outfit and perhaps at a busy time when the tellers aren't really concentrating on the clients, but rather just trying to get people through. Actually, I am just taking the 'P' really. BUT the latex masks that they use for movies really do look realistic so perhaps they were using one like that?

uath below mentioned it might have been like a liquid they covered their face in instead of a pull over mask which would make sense..

We're not talking about the latex Halloween masks. We're talking about a mask of liquid latex applied to the face to change it's shape. The latex is often skin colored to begin with & blends in without other make up even applied. You'd be surprised what a good makeup artist can do with it. If they have much skill at all you wouldn't be likely to notice that it's not the persons real face.

Well the article doesn't say specifically but I'm giving the tellers the benefit of the doubt. Liquid latex is sold in most costume shops & even department stores during Halloween so it's not hard to find.

I read the news. Its disgusing to learn that a relative wanted to steal his grandmother's money. I feel it so sad that you would even steal your own relatives. Maybe this news was put in the newspaper just to sell more. (c) ronaldinu 2009 - the more people I meet-the more I love my dog

why would the newspaper make up a story to sell papers? other than the latex mask i have heard of people trying to pass themselves off as other people all the time to with drawl money or close accounts etc and steal

Hm... I guess this particular latex mask is the kind you would see being used in movies to make young actresses look old. But to have such a good skill at making disguises, why doesn't the couple hone them to make a living? Rather than to try and rob their own relative of their retirement fund! What makes them think that they will never be caught? Taken that the bank did not call the old lady, they will still be able to catch him cos he brought the "Grandmother" to the bank to withdraw the money. With so many security cameras around, he face will definitely be captured on one of them. In the end, he will still be caught. Silly fellow!
