Hi everyone, just before the holidays we purchased the Netflix ROKU player and we love it! It is wonderful, if you are a Netflix member you have the option of watching movies instantly on your computer, there are 1,000's of movies to choose from and free with your subscription. But it can be a real "pain" to watch your movie on a small computer monitor, but WahLah! this ROKU player allows you to port those movies to your TV screen, it's great you can play your movie anytime, stop and start it. It's great, we don't even go to the video store anymore. Do you have one? What do you think of it? or do you use another product that does the same type of thing? Happy Posting! oohcute2340

I don't have a Roku, but my son does, and he really likes it. It's a good idea, but not practical for me. My computer and TV are in different rooms, and my TV doesn't have any connectors. I rent movies from Netflix, and buy some when I can find them at affordable prices. I was looking forward to being able to watch movies instantly on my Mac, but I found out I'd have to upgrade my operating system and browser, and would even need to add more memory. It's just not worth all that bother.

Thank you for the response unusualsupect, I was bummed to about having to have tv in same room, but we adjusted and moved my home office into the livingroom area of our home, and it works even better, because now I can watch my favorite shows and movies while I work at my computer. I don't know of any ready made oomputer to tv programs/devices for a mac, but if I do I will let you know. Happy Posting!!! be happy, be joyful, be safe, be strong!!!!!! oohcute2340

I have one and love it. I have over 188 movies on it. my whole family watches their movies on it. today is the first time in weeks that we're giving the tv a break. we haven't watched dvds in a long while. We don't even go to the video store anymore. I love it. I am recommending all my friends to own one. I hope though they add more movies. I hate that these alot of movies from 1980's all the way to 2008 that are not for instant watch yet. My son loves "blues clues" and you can't instantly watch it. I am so bummed they need to add more.
