I have a pretty big dog , he will not let me trim his nails . Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get him to let me trim his nails , without him biting me or biting the nail trimmers . I have heard about something new called "Pedi Paws". Does anyone own this and does it work?

You could try that new pedipaws. I havent bought it yet but I think that it allows you to cut dogs nails without a problem. I think it is designed to cut dogs nails that are rsistant. It is a new product and I think that it would be very good to use for big dogs.

I strongly recommened taking your dog to the vet. A lot of things of nasty things can go wrong when trimming a big dogs nails, and I would not risk it on any of mine. If you are determined at home to do it, I would extensivelly read up on it first to make sure you do not injure him. Sorry, I dont know of any products that might help, but I hope you will consider taking him to the vet for this.

Thank You for responding back . We have tryed taking him to his vet . He will not even let vet get to them. Vet even tried to muzzle him but it did not work. I think I will do as someone else suggested and take him on long walks down our road .

i have the pedipaws. i really like it but i cant use it on my 12 year old girl because of her arthritis. the vibrations hurt when you use it. But other than that its well worth it. I also have 3 cats i use that on. And they dont seem to mind. Hope this helps! Good luck.

Hi , Thank you for respomding to my post . We recently bought the pedipaws and my biggest dog wouldn't let me use it on him . He tried to eat it everytime it turned on . A local groomer reccomended we walk him on concrete or asphalt for about 30 minutes a day . It is working very well.
